displaying log in messages when publics are off

I'm not sure if this would be the best thing in the world to do, but a lot of the people who have publics off don't receive the log in messages. Wouldn't it be fair for them to receive those messages, so that they know who's logged in right away? It would make it easier - they would not have to look at the big list at the top of the page to see who has logged in.

i do like the idea, and on one hand it would be really useful if you're playing a game, or doing other stuff (and don't always have time to check the list)

on the other hand, people might argue that not looking down the list is lazy (all you really have to do is scroll to the blank) and work upwards. perhaps there could be an option in quicknote filters to turn it on or off as the person wishes

Yeah, people could argue that they're lazy, but come on. People can't always check the list every time they refresh their page.

I think it's a cool idea, if you can turn it on or off, just like some other notifications.

I would find it distracting. If I have publics off it's because I don't want distractions.

I think it's a good idea, i keep my publics off sometimes, and i would like to know who loggs in, so i wouldn't have to keep looking

I'm kind of both ways on that idea. At the same time I don't like to be distracted, yet I would like to know if one of my friends logs on, or leaves for that matter. Maybe you could set it up to only allow those users you want to hear log in and out?

I also like this idea. I don't use public Quicknotes but I'd still like to know when people log in/out. About the suggestion in the last post, about possibly being able to choose who you want to see is logging in/out, I think that is also a good idea. But I would say that would be a good Premium feature honestly; I mean since Premiums already have the Person Watch thing, that could be another thing to add to that. But I do think the ability/option to see who logs in/out at all is a good feature for everyone, as not everyone uses public Quicknotes or wants to constantly keep checking the logged-in list.

Like Dan said, there should be an option concerning whether or not you would like to see who is logging in. I think this is a very good idea.

I think both ideas are good, there are some people who I dont want to see log in, so if theres a box to type in different id numbers or user names to see when they log in or log out. Like a favorites list..

Post 11 by cumbiambera2005 (i just keep on posting!) on Friday, 17-Apr-2009 1:59:57

Well, i like the idea, and i think that there should be an option to toggle it on or off. As far as the favorites thing, that's cool I guess, but I think that should be an option for premiums, again, only as an option. Not sure how that would work though.

I think it would also be cool to set log ins for certain people, like close friends or something

yeh yeh. it'd be fine if I can hear a twing tone while 7066 is logging in. even if I'm keeping my publicks off. lol.

We never satisfy. lol.

But, isn't that why there is person watch?

Post 15 by robbiec12345 (Good night and Farewell ) on Thursday, 30-Apr-2009 15:45:13

bri, person watch only works when u are not logged in!

and yes, i agree with seeing login/outs when publics are off. but it should definitely be a user definable option (possibly under qn filters). i also agree that the view messages for certain users should be a premium thing!

Lol Raaj, you just want me to twing for you. lol
No bri, person watch is this creepy thing that I can't stand lol. This would be so you can be logged in, and when certain people you put on the list log in you would know
